Bridges

Extensive experience with vehicular, pedestrian bridge and underpass projects empowers Otak to offer unique solutions for any job site. We plan with an emphasis on multi-modal use and crossing design that blends into existing spaces. By engaging the community, an in-depth understanding of transportation needs are enhanced with contextually appropriate aesthetic opportunities. From new structures to the inspection and rehabilitation of existing bridges, our team’s efforts extend throughout the structure lifecycle to ensure their ongoing structural integrity.

Buildings

When undertaking a project, Otak finds economical solutions by cooperating with project architects and by supporting construction for maximum efficiency. Early on, we assess the site, evaluating and inspecting any historic structures in need of rehabilitation. During restoration, we improve public community facilities, like schools and government buildings. To expand future multi-modal transportation to these quality work sites, Otak also develops opportunities with community transit facilities.

Specialty Structures

Other structures—water and gas lines, pole foundations, underground garages—are all low-visibility but have high structural impact; they hold the building together and that make it work. Otak accounts for other structures when designing a building both to attract people and to maximize the building’s use. From walls and various site structures, to piers and water control gates, and we consider all necessary other structures.
