Creating Spaces for All Income Levels
Creating affordable places to live in our communities is not rocket science, but it does take good planning and innovative design. Our planners, architects, and engineers understand how to create holistic communities and developments—places that offer housing and services for all income levels.
We were among the first in the Pacific Northwest to integrate affordable with market rate units in award-winning transit-oriented developments. Today, we continue to support housing agencies and developers with projects that provide housing at a variety of income levels, and we design shelters and facilities for those in our communities who have the highest level of need. We research and analyze housing demographics and demand, develop housing action plans and policies, and plan and design affordable housing and mixed-income projects at all density levels.
Our projects include mixed-use developments with housing, multifamily communities, mixed density master planning, missing middle housing, and single-family neighborhoods. We design all types of residential communities in context with the community to ensure livability and access to public parks and open spaces, community services, healthy foods, and public transportation.
