Amtrak Stations: Colorado, Oregon, Washington, Montana, California

Otak’s team assisted Amtrak with land surveys and engineering topographic site surveys for Amtrak’s Accessible Station Development Program. This federally mandated program upgrades rail stations so they comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act. The project began in January 2011, when our survey crews visited the first sites in Montana and endured blizzard-like conditions with a wind-chill factor of 50 degrees below zero. In addition to the Montana sites, we performed topographic design surveys and boundary surveys at sites in Oregon, Washington, California, and Idaho. Otak continues to perform work at Amtrak sites, including five in 2019.
