Lower Poudre River Flood Recovery and Resilience Master Plan

Location: Larimer County and unincorporated Weld County, Colorado
Client: Coalition for the Poudre River Watershed

Otak is part of a team preparing a river recovery and resilience master plan covering 43 miles of the Poudre River upstream from its junction with the South Platte River. The plan has identified and prioritized the remaining unmet flood recovery/restoration needs; hazards to the ecosystem, community, recreation, and transport infrastructure; opportunities to increase resilience to future floods; and opportunities to improve river health. Otak led three of the project tasks—sediment transport modeling and analysis, a river health assessment of the study area, and conceptual designs for a set of priority reaches with identified river restoration opportunities.
