I enjoy the people I work with … and there’s beer after a long day.
Zaq has always been interested in improving inefficiencies, whether in architecture, agriculture, energy generation, or resource management. Architecture seemed like a good way to use this passion in a productive way. His passion for efficiency drives his constant advocacy for integrating sustainability into projects, and he integrates incentives to promote sustainable design measures. As one of Otak’s sustainability champions, he is also our go-to person for information about green tech systems that can improve building performance.
A highly popular colleague, Zaq bakes desserts weekly to share with his team because he finds baking therapeutic. He has served as co-chair of the Woodstock Neighborhood Association Land Use and Sustainability Committee, and he donates to The Street Trust because he believes in improving multimodal transportation in cities where he lives. Zaq is happiest when he is spending time in his garden or in his kitchen, making things to share with his coworkers and friends.
