I enjoy working with a creative, happy group of people who have become friends.
Whenever someone needs a volunteer to plant trees, clean up a watershed, or join a bike-to-work team, they can count on Rose. Summer internships during her time at the University of Texas at Austin inspired Rose to become an engineer, and Otak is grateful. Rose brings a wide base of knowledge and positivity to every project she touches, and she is enthusiastic about sustainable stormwater projects and habitat restoration. She enjoys working with a creative, happy group of people who have become friends. As one of Otak’s green champions, Rose co-chairs the Green Otak Training Committee and facilitates sustainability training. Committed to equity and inclusion, she represents Otak at meetings with the Oregon Association for Minority Entrepreneurs. She also chairs the planning committee for the 2019 Sustainable Stormwater Symposium sponsored by the Oregon chapters of the American Society of Civil Engineers Environment and Water Resources Group and the American Public Works Association. Rose also donates blood, volunteers with the Columbia Slough Watershed Council’s spring planting events, and is room parent in her daughter’s kindergarten class.
