Grand Opening Celebrates New Affordable Housing in Klamath Falls

Community leaders, project partners, residents, and supporters recently gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Mountainview Townhomes, a new affordable housing community in Klamath Falls designed to address the region’s growing housing needs. Developed by Stewardship Development, the project includes 72 one-, two-, and three-bedroom townhomes on an eight-acre site and helps expand access to quality housing for individuals and families throughout the Klamath Basin.

About Mountainview Townhomes
Designed as a walkable, resident-focused neighborhood, Mountainview Townhomes includes 12 residential buildings and a community clubhouse, along with amenities that encourage recreation and connection among residents. A playground, sports field, dog park, and community garden provide opportunities for neighbors to gather and build a sense of community. Due to strong demand, homes were leased as each building was completed, underscoring the significant need for affordable housing in the region. Today, residents are already settling in, getting to know one another, and helping shape a new neighborhood community.
Otak partnered with Stewardship Development throughout the project, providing land-use planning, architecture, landscape architecture, and construction administration services. The project was delivered through a collaborative effort that included co-developers Klamath Housing Authority and Cornerstone Community Housing, with support from grants provided by the Oregon Department of Energy and Cascade Health Alliance.
