Tempe Transportation Center
Location: Tempe, AZ The Tempe Transportation Center is the award-winning centerpiece of Tempe’s public transportation program. Featuring 13 bus bays and an adjacent light rail station, the Center provides a vital transit link to downtown Tempe, the ASU campus and Sun Devil Stadium. Otak was the prime consultant and lead architect for this 40,000-square-foot, three-story facility. A showcase of sustainable design, the building features graywater and stormwater management systems and a green roof; LEED Platinum certification is pending. The center houses the City’s Traffic Management Center, Transportation Department offices, a community room, leasable office and retail space and Arizona’s first commuter bicycle station. |
