Teams: Environmental
Jon Archibald
Over more than 25 years, Jon Archibald has built deep expertise in floodplain modeling and permitting, stormwater facility design, and civil infrastructure design and construction. With extensive work in the Pacific Northwest, he now continues building that expertise as a business unit leader for our water and natural resources work.
Jon got his start in land development, which he credits for giving him a well-rounded engineering perspective since it requires learning a little bit about everything. To him, the greatest difference his team’s work has is in supporting the health of natural systems and he places a particular emphasis on advancing our capabilities by leveraging emerging tools and supporting the development of our people.
Mason Garfield
“I love to learn which keeps me motivated and interested in advancing our river and water resources work.”
Amy Murdick
As an accomplished water resources engineer, landscape architect, and project manager, Amy Murdick now brings her history of guiding all phases of the planning and design process to leading Otak’s stormwater efforts in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Initially starting out in landscape architecture, Amy was always fascinated by how water moved and how that movement could be manipulated. After going back to school for an engineering degree, she has since been working on just that while placing a special emphasis on projects involving urban design where stormwater is incorporated as a resource and amenity to the community. From helping the City of Detroit set up its green infrastructure program to work in India and Vietnam, Amy prides herself on being “professionally bilingual,” in that she’s able to be deeply technical in her work while also effectively communicating those elements in a way that’s easily digestible.
Tim Seed
“My work in green stormwater infrastructure has been coupled with opportunities to volunteer and educate other in support of the subject.”
Michal Tutka
“My interest in conserving natural resources developed into a deep passion for water resources, and I pursued that field of engineering to help actualize the change I envision.”
Megan Vance
“I’ve always been fascinated by the natural world, and that led me to pursue a career engineering solutions to environmental problems.”
David Ojala
“I have a passion for finding solutions to flooding problems.”
