David has more than a decade of experience bringing together his love of bridges and technical acumen as a structural engineer, which he now applies as business unit leader for bridges and structures at Otak. As a NHI-certified bridge inspector, he also sees great value in taking what he learns firsthand from conducting bridge inspections and applying it to his work in design. David’s love of bridges was inspired during travels around Europe, where he saw bridges as a combination of structural design and architecture, which he refers to as structural art. While you can often find David in his garden or woodworking in his free time, he might also be checking up on his favorite non-profit, Bridges to Prosperity.
