Connor Reid, Emmily Maggio, and Alexandra Garner join Redmond office

REDMOND, Washington – January 22, 2018–Otak, Inc., an award-winning engineering, urban design, architecture, planning, and project management firm, announced recently that Connor Reid, Emily Maggio, and Alexandra Garner have joined Otak. They will be working out of the firm’s Redmond, Washington office.

Connor Reid has joined Otak as an engineering designer in the Transportation and Infrastructure Services Group. His experience includes trail, grading, and drainage design, ADA-compliant facilities, stormwater management, cost estimating, and construction materials testing. Connor earned his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Gonzaga University and is a registered engineer-in-training. He is currently working on Seattle City Light’s Georgetown Steam Plant Access Road, City of Renton’s Lake Washington Loop Trail, and the Platte River Recreation Area Targeted Accessibility Improvement Program at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan for the National Park Service.

Emily Maggio has joined Otak as an engineering designer in the Transportation and Infrastructure Services Group. Her experience includes designing for multi-acre commercial, industrial, and residential sites, including grading, water main, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, stormwater management, and erosion and sediment control as well as stormwater modeling and reporting to demonstrate compliance with permits. Emily earned her Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from University of Wisconsin and is a registered engineer-in-training. She is currently working on multiple projects for the National Park Service including the Platte River Recreation Area Targeted Accessibility Improvement Program at Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore in Michigan and Scotty's Castle Visitor Center Flood Damage at Death Valley National Park in California as well as Community Transit’s Swift Bus Rapid Transit Green Line Corridor Stations project.

Alexandra Garner has joined Otak as a senior marketing coordinator. She has 16 years of experience providing various marketing and business development tasks for local A/E firms. Her responsibilities include developing win themes and strategies for proposal efforts, promotional materials, press releases, trade shows, and maintaining the CRM database. Alexandra holds a Marketing Management Certificate from the University of Washington and is a Certified Professional Services Marketer.
