Otakians Mark Shelby, John Longbotham, and Nico Vanderhorst attended the Grand Opening celebration for the new Aquatic Center in Snohomish, Washington, last Saturday. The Snohomish School District constructed this $22-million state-of-the-art facility as part of their most recent bond measure program. The City of Snohomish is providing free water and sanitary sewer service to support this community facility, and the ceremony concluded with an inaugural 50-yard sprint by the captains of the Snohomish High School and Glacier Peak High School swim teams.

Otak provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services as a subconsultant to DOWA.
