The people who work at Otak are my people! There is mutual respect for others and a common passion for our work.
Tammi has always enjoyed solving problems and loves to help her peers advance their skills. Not your typical introverted engineer, Tammi’s approachability and outgoing nature make her a perfect mentor. As one of Otak’s prominent leaders, she co-chairs our Green Otak operations committee, facilitates our ISI Envision program, leads other stormwater engineers, and encourages open communication. Recognized as a “Woman of Vision” by the Daily Journal of Commerce, she chairs the Women in Leadership Symposium, is on the board of Women Leading Water, and has chaired the Sustainable Stormwater Symposium.
If there is a volunteer opportunity, Tammi is there. She enjoys the ways her Water and Natural Resources team builds relationships and keeps work interesting. Last year they had a Christmas Cactus Challenge where everyone received plants to take care of. Tammi won, with one bloom at the end of the year! "We have super-casual Fridays, race each other to know who is the fastest, and plank together every day at 11:30. These moments build bonds and open communication channels. Working with friends is the best!”
