Otak’s leaders care about people as individuals. They make the effort to match people’s passions and interests with their work.
Angela grew up in Zimbabwe, where her father was a city manager. On the weekends, he would take his family to visit water treatment plants, bridges, or other cities, and she found it fascinating. In high school, Angela became interested in architecture because she thought it was a combination of art and engineering. She is glad she has found a way to marry her passion for schools with her professional work with roles like project coordinator for the Oregon City School District’s bond program.
Upbeat, positive, and organized, Angela cares deeply about delivering high-quality work. She’s part of a strategic initiative in our Architecture group that is looking for ways to uncover people’s professional passions. She also serves as a City of Portland Minority Evaluator, reviewing proposals to ensure minority representation on the City’s contracts. She loves being around people and is happiest when she is with her friends and family, listening to music or playing Crazy 8s!
