Location: Seattle, WA
Client: Sound Transit
Client: Sound Transit
Constructing the first commuter rail station in Puget Sound was a significant step forward in the redevelopment of King Street Station as a regional intermodal terminal and transportation hub. Otak managed and designed the project, coordinating with numerous private and public stakeholders to deliver a comprehensive master plan. Built in partnership with Amtrak, WSDOT and Sound Transit, the station supports the Sounder commuter-rail service and Link light-rail service and will help Sound Transit realize its goal of carrying 17,000 passengers per day with 15 daily arrivals.
