Tacoma Dome Commuter Rail Station
Location: Tacoma, WA The Tacoma Dome Commuter Rail Station incorporates Tacoma’s storied history with its ambitious future. Freighthouse Square, a historic shipping terminal, acts as the centerpiece of this intermodal terminal. In addition to a new at-grade platform with canopies and windscreens, the project included a 2,000-square-foot concourse that connects the train platform with a 2,500-car park-and-ride garage, mass-transit options and the immediate neighborhood, providing a literal and figurative 21st-Century connection for the people of Tacoma. |
