Iowa Street

The Terwilliger Curves lie adjacent to I-5, a vital conduit for vehicular and pedestrian traffic through a park-like setting. Improvements to Iowa Street involved resolving rights-of-way for both the freeway and the adjacent city streets, as well as terrain mapping for retaining walls that were to be installed as part of a proposed widening of the freeway. Otak merged mapping data into ODOT-supplied Photogrammetric data to build a complete map and terrain model for approximately 4,700 feet. All told, Otak’s team of eight to 10 on-site field personnel collected approximately 16,000 field data points during the two-month project.
