Spring Creek Bridge
Location: Winthrop, WA Otak teamed with Mowat Construction on a design-build project in Winthrop, Washington. The 385-foot clear-span cable-stay structure over the Methow River includes design elements reflecting 18th century steel construction in accordance with the historical context of the town. The main steel truss and towers are constructed of weathering steel and the deck planks are precast concrete. The tower foundation design accommodates significant scour potential. Otak was responsible for structural design, stream hydraulics, and construction staking. |
