Alaska Fire Service Master Plan

The Alaska Fire Service is based at Fort Wainwright Army Post and serves as the hub of command for all personnel, equipment and supplies needed to fight wildland fires in Alaska. Otak developed a master plan to establish guidance for the programming and development of future capital improvements for this facility, which is partially located within a Landmark Historic District. Otak gathered existing information, researched programmatic requirements, developed conceptual alternatives, prepared an environmental assessment and completed a master plan with implementation costs and phasing. Otak also developed a building and site program, vulnerability assessment, LEED analysis and identified environmental issues on this superfund site.
