Scottsdale Road Streetscape Design Guidelines and Improvements

Scottsdale Road is a corridor of culture and commerce and the heart of the city – a linear landscape that links diverse districts and neighborhoods together over a 25-mile distance. Otak developed a master plan and design guidelines for the arterial corridor, as well as a streetscape design for its four-mile southern gateway. The plans address a variety of urban, suburban and natural settings; incorporated accessibility upgrades and pedestrian improvements and carefully integrated public art. The resulting design gives Scottsdale Road a signature look and function that reinforces the individuality of each district while providing a cohesive family of elements for the entire roadway.
