McCall Legacy Park and Lake Front Improvements
Location: McCall, ID When the town of McCall, Idaho embarked upon a major urban renewal project, officials had one key stipulation: Legacy Park needed to act as a new focal point for the lake front town and more effectively support a mix of commercial, recreational and residential uses. Otak’s landscape architects met this goal by enhancing McCall’s rustic charm through a pedestrian promenade, boardwalk and streetscape improvements, while also implementing stormwater and grading elements that maximized the public space and capacity of the 10-acre park. These factors, combined with shoreline restoration, native plantings and bio-engineered erosion control, will improve the water-quality of Payette Lake and its watershed and help Legacy Park remain a cherished public space. |
