Yakima River Wapato Reach Assessment Phase 1

WDFW needed to assess restoration project opportunities along Wapato Reach, a 38-mile stretch of the Yakima River, and needed a framework to guide the future use of restoration funds. Otak was hired to perform Phase I of the Yakima River Wapato Reach Assessment. This involved coordinating with a group of Yakima River Basin resource agencies; developing a framework for conducting a multi-objective assessment of restoration opportunities; developing a detailed scope of work to conduct the assessment; developing and facilitating the execution of inter-local agreements between agencies with an interest in the assessment process and outcome; and gathering readily available background data.
