Otak offers experience with geomorphic mapping, surveying, hydrologic measurements, sediment analysis and interpreting landform history. Staff provides analysis of geomorphic stability, physical habitat, sedimentary processes and downstream impacts of changes in watershed land use, and advise on management practices to support projects pertaining to stream and riparian habitat enhancement, channel stabilization and realignment, and bridge and culvert replacement. Otak’s recent experience includes assessing channel incision and bank scour, measuring abundance and quality of bedforms and large woody debris, watershed-scale mapping of sediment sources, deposition zones and transport barriers and predicting stream responses to upstream watershed alterations.
