Leonard Street

Location: Lake Oswego, OR
Client: City of Lake Oswego

The City of Lake Oswego had a goal of redesigning Leonard Street, a main thoroughfare situated in its historic Old Town neighborhood. Otak was hired to assist with this street beautification project that was designed to transform Leonard Street into a “green street” that would reduce stormwater runoff. Otak assisted with alternative design concepts for public review and prepared plans and specifications for project construction. Design concepts included curb extensions, a mid-block crossing, a green street design for stormwater and a turning analysis to accommodate large delivery trucks needing access to the local shopping center. Otak provided construction management and inspection services to ensure this high profile project was completed in accordance with the design and to assist the City in minimizing the disruption to adjacent traffic.
