Strategically redeveloped to leverage its location, this five-star, Venetian-style village resort includes a 400-room hotel, restaurants and bars, a marina, underground garages and utilities, a 3,000-square-meter spa, furnished apartments and VIP chalets that resemble offshore “floating houses.” As lead consultant, Otak is responsible for the development of the design and the administration of the construction contract, which requires the project team to work collaboratively with the client, sub-consultants, statutory authorities and hotel operator to meet requirements. Otak’s problem-solving approach provides additional value engineering and supports the defense and prevention of contractor claims.
