Fawcett Creek Culvert to Bridge Replacement

After floodwaters washed out the Fawcett Creek Culvert along a two-lane road, Tillamook County officials secured Emergency Relief funding to replace the 12-foot diameter culvert with a 120-foot-long single span bridge. Otak provided construction management and inspection, bridge and roadway design, topographic and right-of-way survey, geotechnical investigation, environmental documentation and permitting, hydraulic analysis, utility coordination and right-of-way acquisition. Design services included the bridge, roadway, traffic and stormwater. Utilizing a collaborative approach, Otak worked with County officials, ODOT, utilities and the surrounding community to deliver the design four months ahead of schedule and under budget, enabling construction completion one full year ahead of schedule.
