1st Street and Main Avenue Sidewalks and Bike Facilities

Otak provided engineering and construction management services for this American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) project in Region 5. The project included construction of sidewalk and bicycle facilities on a primary school route for children accessing the elementary school and junior and senior high schools. It included drainage swales, pedestrian scale lighting and street trees. Otak completed the plans, specifications and cost estimate (PS&E) within a very aggressive schedule - one hundred percent PS&E was completed within four weeks from Notice to Proceed. Design was completed on schedule and on budget.
