St. Helen's Transit Center and Maintenance Facility

Location: St. Helens, OR
Client: Columbia County Rider

Otak is providing architecture, landscape design and civil engineering sevices to remodel an existing 3,000-square-foot office building for a new public transit center in St. Helens, Oregon. The design includes a passenger lobby, public bathrooms, ticketing area, dispatch, operations offices, drivers’ lounge and multi-purpose room. A new clock tower will emphasize the civic importance of the building. The transit facility will house a three-bus platform, an additional two-bus platform for future expansion, a bus storage yard with a three-bay maintenance building, and a 70-car park-and-ride lot. Design for the five-acre property also addresses future mixed-use development opportunities.
