ODS Milwaukie Plaza
Location: Milwaukie, OR ODS Health Care wanted to create an attractive, state-of-the-art office using the shell of a 1956 industrial facility. Among the challenges were adding light to the 50,000-square-foot interior, honoring the community's history and ensuring the environmental health of the property. Otak helped ODS achieve its first goal through internally lit lightwells; the second through an interpretive display about the former Pendleton Woolen Mill facility and the third by the careful restoration of a nearby wetland. These combined efforts made this adaptive reuse project a success. This project won several design awards. |
