F. Maxine and Thomas W. Cook Memorial Library

As part of a public/private partnership, the City of La Grande worked with Oregon Dental Service and Otak on a two-building complex punctuated by a new public library. This 19,000-square-foot facility features a wood-paneled enclosure in the children's area with a common plaza and water feature linking it to the development's second, commercial building. Located at the terminus of a vital urban axis, the library has become a new civic beacon for the city of La Grande.
