Otak International Earns ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System CertificateSeptember 15, 2011 Throughout our 30-year history, Otak has strived to help clients achieve a project’s maximum economic potential while supporting sustainability and corporate responsibility. One of the ways we accomplish this objective is by utilizing quality management systems to track and improve performance, and ultimately deliver successful projects on-time and on-budget. Otak International is proud to announce that we recently earned an ISO 9001: 2008 Quality Management System Certificate from British Standards Institution, an independent third party management system certifier organization. ISO 9001: 2008 quality management system is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being used by 1,064,000 organizations in 178 countries worldwide. It sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general. This particular certification applies to Otak’s efforts in the design, development and delivery of architectural, planning, and engineering services including urban design, buildings, roads and bridges. In order to earn the certification, Otak successfully demonstrated the ability to consistently provide products that meet customer and applicable regulatory requirements and enhance customer satisfaction through the effective application of the system. The latter requirement included processes for continual improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity and applicable regulatory requirements. Achieving ISO 9001: 2008 certification is an important step in helping us provide better service and efficiencies to our clients, partners and communities.
