5 Firms Win AIA Awards for Civic DesignSeattle Daily Journal of Commerce, May 25, 2011 Five firms were honored recently at the American Institute of Architects Washington Council's 2011 Civic Design Awards in Seattle: The Miller Hull Partnership, LMN, Otak, DLR Group and Mithun. The awards go to publically funded projects designed in the last six years and are intended to honor the client as well as the architect. Two honor awards, four merit awards and one people's choice award were given this year, but no citation awards... Otak received two Merit Awards for Sound Transit Link Light Rail - Beacon Hill Station and Federal Way Public Schools' New Elementary Schools Program (Otak provided civil and entitlement work).
